Born, November 15th 1937-died May 26th 1968. An inductee into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Blues Hall of Fame, The R and B Hall of Fame both as singer and songwriter, The Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame. Most famously a million selling number one self written hit with Fever (covered by Peggy Lee). Huge hits with songs with All Around The World, Talk To Me Talk To Me (also a million seller), Need Your Love So Bad (covered by Fleetwood Mac), Leave My Kitten Alone (covered by The Beatles) and Sleep. Fourteen entries into the Billboard Top 100. The final part of the jigsaw is the music. Possibly due to his tragically short life, the music has been somewhat forgotten in favour of the story of that short life.
